The Shou County Culture and Art Center, designed by Studio Zhu-Pei, is a cultural landmark in Anhui Province, China. The design draws inspiration from the region's traditional courtyard houses, featuring a monolithic exterior that conceals a network of interconnected courtyards, paths, and bridges. This arrangement creates a dynamic and inviting environment for visitors.
The design philosophy emphasizes restraint, balance, and harmony, aligning with the cultural heritage of Shou County. The integration of multiple courtyards and public spaces fosters a sense of community and engagement, inviting visitors to explore and interact with the environment.
Contributed to the schematic design phase, focusing on developing initial design concepts and refining spatial layouts. Played a key role in creating physical and digital models for scene view explorations and iterative design processes, helping visualize and enhance the user experience within the cultural space.

For the Shou County Culture and Art Center, I was responsible for physical modeling, translating design concepts into tangible forms. This process deepened my understanding of spatial relationships, materiality, and construction feasibility. Through hands-on experimentation, I explored how traditional elements could be integrated into modern design, enhancing cultural authenticity.
